Vegas – Day 3

Sunday was a great day.  We woke up early and had a little breakfast.  Then those of us who were just a tad bit on the silly side, went to the top of the stratosphere to ride the rides 1000 feet in the air.  YIKES.  I made it to the observation deck, but could not get myself on that roller coaster.  I just couldn’t do it.  However, Steph, Ed, Barrry, and Miranda went on that ride.  Most were scared half out of their minds, but they did it!  Go Team!  I watched in horror from the sidelines.  Then, Barry and Heather got even sillier.  They went on the Insanity ride.  Hey, I didn’t name it, that is really what it is called.  These swings that go out over the side of the tower, over the edge, nothing underneath them, and they go in circles.  I watched as my niece and my husband where heading to certain death…ok so I am dramatic, get over it.  I was in a panic.  They seemed to enjoy it.  I think I have posted pictures of those 2 rides here on the blog.

We had a little lunch in the base of the stratosphere, then it was back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding.  The limo picked us up at about 3:25 and we got to the chapel early.  The wedding was to be at 4pm, but it started early.  Elvis was great!  The chapel was great!  The people there were wonderful.  A Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.  What a fun place.  Elvis got everyone up and dancing to "Viva Las Vegas" and "Burning Love" then "Can’t help Falling in Love" and finally "Way Down"  We had a blast.  I want to do it again.  Everyone agreed that it was the best time we had so far in vegas.

Then it was on to the Rio for dinner in the Voodoo Cafe.  It was dark and had black lights, purple decorations, skulls, and other neat stuff.  On the 50th floor of the hotel with a great deck to go out and enjoy the view.  We were almost the only ones in the place.  We got a great group picture taken, had a relaxing dinner, then went downstairs to see the free show in the Rios Casino.  It was GREAT!  anyone going to vegas needs to see all the free stuff.  It is all great.

Then back to the hotel.  Some folks gambled, others relaxed.  Some walked the strip a little.  Whatever we did, it was fun.

Sleep. Good thing. Tomorrow is the GRAND CANYON!
