Well, I had to shut down the pc around 4am on Monday morning before the power went out. We did loose power around 5:00am. The storm was the worst thing I have ever been through in my life. I truly thought the house was going to fall apart around me. The noise was horrible. Louder than i ever imagined. Not like a train, but thousands of trains all at once. If that wasn’t bad enough, when the back side of the storm came through, it got even harsher. I hated every minute of it. I was lucky that the radio stayed on the whole time. The forecasters did a great job letting us know what to expect and how long it would last and when a possible tornado was coming. They had to have saved many many lives. They are very good. ABC 7 and NBC 2 in Naples/Ft. Myers. Best!
But we made it. House isn’t even that bad. We had some shingles come off, lost a couple of trees, and no power for several days. But that was it! Woo hoo. Mom stayed with us.She is still here today, we are waiting for her house to get power. She can stay here as long as she needs to.She works hard. The whole outside is free from debris. We both worked at that. The trees that were down are back up and the limbs are all at the curb. For 84, she rocks!
I will post some "after" Wilma pictures in just a bit. Thank you all for your prayers and support during this hard time. We have come a long way in several days, a long way to go yet, but we are getting there.
