Can You Hear Me Now?

We have been married almost 25 years! Silver anniversary baby! After all these years, I still have a ton of fun with him. He is my best friend and my husband. Wonderful combination.

Speaking of fun, I had a lot of fun with him last night.  We got home from work and I quickly changed in to pajamas and sat in the recliner (really rough day).  He went into the bathroom and started to change.  I could hear him talking to me, but I couldn’t make out exactly what he was saying.  That could be due to the fact that he was 3 rooms away from me as he talked to me.  Does anyone else experience that?  Why is he trying to talk to me from 3 rooms away?  Anyhow, I kept watching mindless television, however, part of me was sort of listening to his voice, but not a big part of me.  Then I could hear him getting a little louder. What was he saying?  It sounded like “Can you hear me now?”  I started listening harder….yes, that’s what he is saying.  So I started to enjoy listening.  Here is what I heard:

“can you hear me now?”

“how about now?”

“now?”

“perhaps I should stop talking now since you can’t hear me”

“how about now, can you hear me now?”
“now?”

“how about now?”
“can you hear me now?”

“now?”

“now?”

“now?”

“how about now?”

At this point, I am laughing hard. Really hard.  I’m surprised he couldn’t hear me!

His voice was getting louder so I knew he was slowly making his way back to the living room, all the while saying things like “How about now?”  “I’m sure you can hear me now.”  “Now?”  “I guess not now”  “now?”  He finally walked into the living room and saw me crying from laughing so hard.  His reply? “I guess you heard me.”

You just can’t make this stuff up.  I have so much fun with my buddy!  Happy 25th!  I Love you!  And YES, I can hear you now!
